About Car Buying 101

I created Car-Buying-101.com in response to my experiences when buying my car, and later trading it in. I went to the dealership without doing enough research and bought a car the same day—the two most fundamental flaws you can make when buying a car. Learning from my mistake, I decided to create Car Buying 101 to help others get a good deal when buying a car.

Being a military member, I frequently see dealerships located right outside of military installations trying to get an unsuspecting soldier to wander to their dealership and buy a car. Some dealerships will really rip you off, but if you KNOW the true value of the car you want and you stand fast and don't give in to a salesman, you can get a good deal at any dealership. If not, just walk out; you'll see how quickly they need your business, not the other way around.

Car Buying 101 will continuously improve; our goal is to be the best guide for car buying. We will constantly add content and improve the functionality of our site. This site was brought online in February 2005, so we are a new face in the hot topic of car buying.
